Cavicchioli winery has been making unique wines with great pleasure for more than 80 years. It started in San Prospero, a village near Modena in Northern Italy, where a man with a lot of passion for his country transformed the workshop behind his house into a wine cellar where production and bottling took place. This man, Umberto Cavicchioli, was the first person in the region to start pressing the Lambrusco grape.

From April 6, 1928, the workload increased and his sons Umberto, Franco, Romano and Piergiorgio helped their father put the company on the map. In 1964, Umberto decided it was time to transfer Cavicchioli to his sons, who subsequently significantly expanded the distribution network. Years of strong growth followed, and the baton was passed on to grandsons Umberto, Sandro and Claudia. Today, Cavicchioli has grown into a leading Italian winery!
